Making big changes is hard, we all know that’s a fact!
But what if you could make big changes to your wellbeing by focusing on a few simple swaps each week. These are a few of my favourites:
- Try something new!
Changing up your exercise patterns can give your fitness and your motivation levels a boost. - Drink more water!
Water is essential for good health. Most of us don’t get enough water in on a daily basis and low levels of dehydration can cause feelings of fatigue and irritability. Try to track your intake for a few days and see how you are going. Aim for 1.5-2 litres per day. - Read a book!
Reading is a great way to relax and unwind. It’s a great opportunity to get away from technology so try to old fashioned book, not the screen. Reading is a great way to stimulate your brain but relax your body. - Count your SLEEP!
Never under estimate the importance of sleep and recovery. Over tired brains and bodies cannot function efficiently so try to go to bed at least 30 minutes earlier several nights per week. - Meal Preparation!
Try to spend a little extra time on meal preparation and planning. Having quality protein sources and fresh fruit and vegetables in the fridge make it easy to prepare a quick healthy meal. Also cut up some vegetables sticks and have them in the fridge for easy snack options.
